  First Day of School : Monday, February 6th, 2017

Last Day of School : Friday, December 15th, 2017 (the full calendar will be sent in Feb.)

Mid-year vacation:  Monday, July 3rd through Monday, July 31st (School resumes on Tuesday, August 1st).

School hours:

Early Childhood, Pre-K, Kinder, Kindergarten – Monday through Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.   (Bus dismissal is at 3:30 p.m.)

                                    Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Elementary School - Monday through Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

                                    Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

  *School doors will open at 7:40 a.m.

Registration Fee:

Paid by Thursday, December 24th, 2016.

New students entering Hebrew Day School after December 24th please call for an appointment.

 

Monthly Payments:

Payments must be made by the 10th of each month and tuition is divided into 11 months (Feb-Dec). After the 10th of each month there will be an additional $25.00 charge. After the 10th of the following month there will be an additional $50.00 charge; unless a late payment has been previously authorized.

 

Yearly Payment:

If you pay up the yearly tuition before the end of January, you may request a 5% discount.  

 

Supplies/Book Fees (Includes textbooks, workbooks, photocopies and arts and crafts supplies. All books for Hebrew, Spanish and English are supplied by the school):

50% of the fee must be paid at time of registration or by January 10th and the other 50% by July 10th.

 

Snack/ Lunch:

Early Childhood: Snacks- 9:00 a.m. (light snack 10:15 a.m.) and 1:45 p.m. Lunch- 11:30 a.m.

Pre-K, Kinder, Kindergarten: Snacks- 9:15 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. Lunch- 11:45 a.m.

Elementary: Snacks- 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Lunch- 12:00 p.m.

 

INSURANCE

 

Registration Fee includes Seguro Estudiantil del INS,

Every student must have Emergencias Medicas at a charge of 20,000 colones per child and fee must be paid at registration.

·         All fees are to be paid in US Dollar currency.

·         Students attending for just one semester must pay 5 and a half months of tuition, half of registration and half of supplies and book fee.

You can pay by check (made out to Hebrew Day School) or a bank deposit. When depositing, please include name of child and purpose of payment. Cash payments may only be made with prior authorization.

 

 We recommend bank deposits as the best form of payment.

Ages Per Grade:

For students entering Pre K, child must be 3, for Kinder, 4 and for Kindergarten/Preparatoria 5, before Nov. 15th, 2016.

For students entering first grade, child must be 6 before Nov. 15th, 2016.

For mid November 2016 through mid February 2017 birthdays, school may give student the option to move to the next grade.

Uniforms : If your child needs uniforms, please ask to fill out the corresponding form.

Required Forms and Records for new students:

Copy of Birth Certificate,

Academic Records from previous schools, Eye and Medical exams for those entering first grade.

Lists will be provided in the first week of January.
